Forces and moments are introduced with vector algebra, followed by the application of equilibrium conditions for particles and rigid bodies. Free body diagrams (FBD�s) are used to analyze trusses, frames and machines, as well as internal member forces (bending moment and shear force diagrams). Additional topics include friction, centroids, and moments of inertia. |
